DIY: All-natural study aid

Hello everyone!

Since this is back to school week for many Maltese students, today I want to share a DIY essential oil blend recipe that helps support focus and concentration. This study aid blend can be used at school, at home, as well as at work.

If you use essential oils, chances are you are familiar with essential oil blends in a roll-on bottle. Roll-on bottles are meant to make the topical application of essential oils easier. Since the oils are already diluted, all you have to do is rub the rollerball along your skin.

This is the recipe for an all-natural study aid -

Ingredients:

  • 15 drops lavender essential oil
  • 15 drops vetiver essential oil
  • 15 drops cedarwood essential oil
  • a tablespoon of carrier oil (such as coconut oil, almond oil, or avocado oil)
  • a roll-on bottle

Always make sure to dilute essential oils in a carrier oil before applying them to your skin.

Method:

  1. Add essential oils to the roll-on bottle.
  2. Fill the rest of the bottle with a carrier oil.
  3. Add rollerball and close the cap, then gently roll the bottle to mix the oils.

If you find yourself reaching for coffee, sugar, or energy drinks to beat your fatigue: you should try boosting your energy with essential oils instead. The following oils help support focus and concentration and can be added to this study aid blend as well:

  • Peppermint essential oil
  • Lavender essential oil
  • Vetiver essential oil
  • Cedarwood essential oil
  • Lemon essential oil
  • Citrus essential oil
  • Sweet orange essential oil
  • Rosemary essential oil
  • Frankincense essential oil

The following four specific areas are the best places to apply your roll-ons for maximum benefits:

  • Bottom of the feet
  • Behind the ears
  • On the temples
  • On the wrists
