DIY: Blemish killer stick

Hello everyone!

Today I have another beauty DIY for you.  My skin has been fairly clear until a couple of days ago when it started flaring up again (only a couple of pimples, but still).  The problem is, I've been so busy lately that I didn't have time to pamper my skin with one of my usual homemade masks.  So, I found myself constantly reaching for my tea tree oil and rubbing a drop on my blemishes.  I figured I should make a DIY treatment that is quick to make and easy to use.

The DIY blemish killer stick  is the easiest thing you can make to get rid of pimples, especially if you don't have the time to prepare a DIY mask, apply it, let it sit for 20-30 minutes, etc.

DIY blemish killer stick

You will need:
  • 3/4 tbsp coconut oil
  • 1-3 drops tea tree oil
  • an empty lip balm tube
Both coconut oil and tea tree oil are naturally antibacterial and anti-fungal.  These properties help with reducing  redness and puffiness and fighting bacteria.

Method:

Scoop 3/4 of a tablespoon coconut oil and melt it on a stove top burner.
Add in just a few drops of tea tree oil (no more than 3).

Mix to blend and pour into the lip balm tube.

Store the tube in the fridge so it  doesn't melt and use as needed as a homemade spot treatment.  So far this DIY blemish killer stick is working well for me!
Other natural ingredients that fight blemishes include: apple cider vinegar (ACV), baking soda (sodium bicarbonate), lemon juice, honey, green tea, witch hazel and rose water.
