Today we’re flipping the script: instead of calming ourselves, we’re going to make one stranger smile, anonymously, before the day is over.
Operation Random Joy
Your mission (should you choose to accept it):
Pick ONE of these (or invent your own) and do it today:
- Leave a €5 (or your local equivalent) coffee gift card on a random car windscreen with a note: “Have a warm day ♡."
- Tape a chocolate coin or candy cane to a vending machine with “Free treat for you!”
- Stick a little “You’ve got this!” note inside a library book or on a supermarket shelf.
- Pay for the person behind you in the queue (coffee, toll, groceries, whatever feels fun).
- Drop a handwritten compliment into someone’s shopping bag when they’re not looking.
Rules:
- No getting caught (or at least no taking credit).
- No spending more than you’re comfortable with.
- Feel the ridiculous grin on your face for the rest of the day.
I plan to do my first one this morning, but I'm not going to tell you what it is, just in case.
