Hello, everyone!
Let’s open Door Number 15…
Let’s open Door Number 15…
Today’s gift is one of the quietest, most healing things I know — and it never has to leave your hands.
The Unsent Letter
Take a piece of paper (or open a blank note on your phone) and write a letter you will never send.
To anyone — or to anything:
- The younger version of you who needs to hear “you did your best.”
- Someone who hurt you and you still carry.
- Someone you miss who isn’t here anymore.
- The person you wish you could thank but never got the chance.
- Even to God — a prayer poured out without needing an answer right now.
- Or to yourself, ten years from now.
Write it all — the messy, the tender, the unfinished.
No grammar, no filter, no need to make sense.
No grammar, no filter, no need to make sense.
When you’re done, you decide what happens next:
- Fold it and tuck it away.
- Burn it safely.
- Bury it in a drawer.
- Or delete it.
The magic isn’t in sending it.
The magic is in letting the words finally exist outside your heart.
The magic is in letting the words finally exist outside your heart.
I wrote one this morning — a prayer that felt too raw to say out loud.
Then, I deleted it. I already feel lighter.
Your turn. In the comments, just leave a comment or a 📝 if you wrote (or will write) your unsent letter today. No details needed — I’ll know.
See you tomorrow for Door 16…
