The cold weather has finally arrived here in Malta!  As we all know, winter can be extremely hard on our skin.  The cold, dry air during this season takes moisture from our skin, leaving it looking dull and dry.   Additionally, many comforts we seek from the cold such as; long baths, hot showers and indoor heating sources, all contribute to dry our skin even further, making it flaky and itchy.

As I told you in a previous post, temperature variations can take a toll on our skin and as the seasons change, so do our skin care needs.  Below you will find 10 simple tips for healthy winter skin and in the infographic below you’ll find even more details on how to avoid dryness and stay moisturised.
  1. Moisturise with SPF
  2. Avoid hot water
  3. Drink more water
  4. Use oil-based moisturisers
  5. Go natural
  6. Exfoliate
  7. Wear gloves
  8. Wear lip balm

  10. Avoid acne treatments
