Up2Step | Fashion and wedding shoes

March 28, 2021 2 Comments

Hello everyone!

Today's blog post is a little different.  As I previously told you, since the beginning of the pandemic, I'm always searching for new online stores that I can share with you.  In many areas around the world, my country included, at the moment all non-essential stores are closes and therefore all shopping has to be done online.  Luckily, I was recently introduced to an online store that sells both classic and trendy shoes and I have to share the link with all of you; my readers, and tell you a little bit more about it.

At Up2Step you can find various kinds of shoes, namely; sandals, pumps, boots and flats.  Additionally, they also have a vast selection of wedding shoes, and in this post, I want to tell you more about them.

Most ladies will agree that the shoes you wear at your wedding are just as important as the wedding dress.  There are many models of wedding shoes to choose from; from heels to sandals to flats to wedges and I even found a pair of wedding ankle boots!

For the classic bride, there are plenty of white wedding shoes available at Up2Step.   These are just four of the models I like:

Wedding shoes don't have to be white.  In fact, most of the shoes on the Up2Step website are available in various colours.  Personally, I love the classy champagne and nude hues, the sparkly gold and silver, or a pair of blue shoes to incorporate the "something blue" tradition.  I also love the idea of a pop of colour to complement the wedding theme.  One could choose a colour to match the bridesmaids' dresses or to fit the season; let's say, red or dark green for Christmas, or either red or pink for Valentines' Day.  Another example is either a bright or pastel colour for a spring wedding...  Here's a small selection of gorgeous satin wedding shoes in various colours:

I didn't include a lot of stilettos in the picture above, so for all the ladies who prefer to wear stilettos, here's one you will surely love.  This model is perfect for any season and it's available in black, navy, pink and red.  Personally, I find the navy version stunning!

Up2Step ships to various countries across the world and they also offer FREE Standard Shipping & Delivery on any order over $40.  There are so many different models of shoes available, no matter your personal style, you will surely find shoes that you will love.  So go browse, and happy shopping!

Dear readers, do you prefer white or coloured wedding shoes?  Leave a comment and let me know!

XOXO, Cosette

Finding a silver lining in Covid-19

March 24, 2021 1 Comments

silver lining is a sign of hope or a positive aspect in an otherwise negative situation.

Every cloud has a silver lining

Hello everyone!

Since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, I spent most of my time at home.  I work from home and I shop online so I rarely go outside anymore.  This is even more true now that more pandemic restrictions are in place and everything is closed down once again.  I spent most of winter "hibernating"; meaning I pretty much binge watched tv shows and true crime videos all day long.  And this explains why I haven't written a blog post in a while.  However, now that spring is finally here (although spring weather still has to make an appearance), I cannot wait to get out of the house.

I'm fully aware that we are all currently living in odd and unsettling times, but it is so important that we take this rare opportunity and try to focus on the positive aspects.  Whenever possible at least.  Here are my silver linings:

  • Spending more time with my family and Rascal (my 2-year-old Maltipoo).

  • More time for cooking and baking; which I love!

Before these past couple of months, which I spent "hibernating", I used to do the four things listed below regularly, and that's exactly what I intend to start doing again!

  • Reading more than I used to pre-pandemic.  I'm constantly looking for good ebooks to download. My Goodreads lists keep getting longer.  My preferred genres are mystery, thriller and horror.
  • Practising the piano regularly and learning new songs.  There are various apps that I'm currently testing out and so far I think a couple of them are proving to be very helpful.

  • Trying new workout videos on YouTube.  I love dance workouts!  Who doesn't?
  • Blogging more frequently.  I even switched to a custom domain on January 1st!

The biggest thing that I'll be taking with me out of this experience is my appreciation for life.  I will never take the simple things for granted again like being able to walk Rascal without a mask and constantly having to cross the street to avoid direct contact with people, going shopping without stressing over everything I touch (the main reason why I shop online), going to the beach or the countryside.  Just so many things that I never thought would be taken away.

I can't wait until it's possible to do all of these things once again and I know whenever those days come, I'll be so grateful.

What are the positive aspects of your life that you choose to focus upon during the pandemic?

xoxo, Cosette
