Hello everyone! As you can see from the current most popular posts in the sidebar, piercing-related articles are well-liked on this blog. Today I want to talk to you about an unfortunate situation; that sadly is not that uncommon! Uneven piercings occur when one ear is pierced slightly higher or off to one side from the other. When this happens, the only way to correct the problem is to have one of your lobes re-pierced to match the other. First, the earrings must be removed, and the piercing must close before you can pierce it again. Healing generally takes six to eight weeks. If a person only has one set of earlobe piercings , the best thing to do is getting one or both ears re-pierced. However, if the unevenness happens with a second or third set of lobe piercings , there can be other options. If getting them re-pierced isn't an option for you, and you do not want any more piercings , your best option is mixing and matching your earrings. Having different shapes and sizes a
Hello everyone! One of the more uncomfortable, yet frequent challenge faced by most women in the summertime is the issue of inner thigh chafing . If you are out and about in skirts, dresses or short shorts, chances are you've suffered from the red rash that can develop on the skin between your thighs. This happens when the inside of your thighs sweat and then rub together. Some women swear by baby powder , which works only for a short while. Others wear shorts or nylon thighs/ pantyhose underneath their dresses. Wearing more clothes is not the best solution in super hot, humid climate . A more effective preventative method: To keep your thighs from chafing when you wear a dress or a skirt, apply an anti-perspirant to the inside of your thighs. You can use roll-ons or sticks. The anti-perspirant keeps your thighs from sweating therefore preventing a nasty rash . Keep the anti-perspirant in your purse for long days out, you may need to re-apply.
Hello everyone! Do you have short nail beds or long nail beds ? What’s the difference anyway? The size and shape of the nail should be in proportion to the size and shape of the nail bed. When your nails are within proportion, they are at their strongest and most attractive. I recently noticed that my nail beds are a lot shorter than they used to be. How did this happen? I thought about it and I realised that I am constantly scooping under my nails every time I wash my hands (and that's like a gazillion times a day!) . Now that I am aware of this “bad habit” I am trying my best to stop doing it. I hope that if I stop “scooping”, my nail beds can grow back to the length they used to be. I read somewhere that once you damage your nail bed it cannot grow back. On the other hand, my mum used to bite her nails and she used to have short nail beds. Now four years after she stopped biting her nails, her nail beds are much, much longer.
Hello everyone! If you are interested in getting a piercing, there is a lot of thought that needs to go into your decision. Will it hurt? How long will it take to heal? These are just two of the many questions you might have. Besides the initial pinch, there's one main downside to getting pierced: the healing process . Cartilage piercings are very popular. Cartilage is a connective tissue that is harder than the skin but softer than the bones. Any ear piercing other than lobe piercing is a cartilage piercing. Each cartilage piercing has a different name based on the area of cartilage that is being pierced. Some of these piercings are the snug, upper helix, anti-helix, conch, orbital, daith, and tragus. If you want more information about ear piercings, click here ! The most common cartilage piercing is the helix piercing. However, cartilage piercings can take a lot of time to heal, depending on the placement of the piercing, it can be anywhere fro
