Surviving the Holidays: Tips for a healthier party season

Hello everyone!

Christmas is almost here and for many of us, this is a great time of year for catching up with family and friends.  However, you should not let this be an excuse to overindulge!  Here are ten tips to help you have a healthier party season.  

  1. Keep the focus on fun, not food
  2. Stock your fridge, freezer and pantry with healthy food options.
  3. Eat regular meals during the daytime before parties.
  4. Don't sit down all day.
  5. Exercise regularly.
  6. Don’t eat every bit of food placed in front of you.  Think before you eat!
  7. Go easy on the desserts, but enjoy the ones you have.
  8. Limit your alcohol consumption.
  9. Re-hydrate!  Drink plenty of water.
  10. Get some quality sleep.
