DIY: Nourishing body scrub

July 16, 2014 2 Comments
Hello everyone!

Today I want to share a DIY recipe for a nourishing body scrub.  We all know how important it is to nourish our body, and sometimes we forget about our bodies largest organ; the skin.

This natural body scrub is very nourishing, it contains essential natural ingredients like coconut oil and almond oil to help restore moisture and sea salt to exfoliate dead skin cells.  Also, it smells delicious!  Here's the recipe...

  • 1/2 cup coconut oil
  • 1/4 cup almond oil
  • 1/2 cup sea salt

  1. Mix all ingredients together in a mason jar, allow to sit for ingredients to amalgamate.
  2. Apply mixture to your skin and rub in a circular motion.
  3. Rinse with water.
That's all for this quick, easy, money-saving, skin-loving scrub!

If you love using DIY scrubs, here are the links for another four you might want to try:

If you try out one of these scrubs, leave a comment and let me know your experience.

Have an awesome day!

Outfit inspiration - Maxi dresses

July 02, 2014 0 Comments
Hello everyone!

Today I have another outfit inspiration post for you.  Everyone seems to love maxi dresses, but not all dresses are created equally!

Follow the guidelines below to find the perfect maxi dress for your shape and check out my styling tips!

The perfect maxi dress for your shape:

  • If you are heavy-busted and have a curvy figure, cap sleeves are a great option because they effortlessly cover bra straps.
  • On the other hand, if you do not have any curves, dresses that are cinched at the waist give the illusion of a curvier body.
  • Strapless dresses are more flattering for small-busted women who don't need a lot of support.
  • If you have a pear shapea shoulder-baring top and empire waist draw attention up, away from your bottom.

How to wear maxi dresses:

Maxi dresses look great with a little layering.  Try adding a denim jacket (a light sleeveless one for summer) and a belt, or a sharp blazer and a statement necklace if you want to dress it up.

If you're aiming for a relaxed, effortless look, were flip-flops, flat sandals, or low-heeled platforms/wedges.

I hope you find this helpful.  How do you style maxi dresses?  Share your styling tips in the comment section below!
